  • Recently I was on Social Media and I came across a very disturbing story.  I read Disney Actress Rae'Ven Kelly was recently assaulted by Los Angeles Police after getting off a train.  This hit so close to home for me because I take the train regularly out here in LA and the thought crossed my mind that this could have been me!  My prayers go out to her and her family during this difficult time.  I'm just glad she had her husband on the phone listening in to the whole situation, and I hope she backs up her phone files because the police confiscated her device.  Just a reminder to everyone out there please be cautious and always have a backup app on your phone just in case.

    WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?

  • I was sitting here thinking about how I can make a change in my life.  Ive had this blog for years but I never used it as an outlet.  I feel writing out your feelings is a powerful form of art that can inspire and influence other peoples lives, and I often wonder why I don't exercise my gift everyday. I realize that needs to change!  Recently I went to an event and I met some awesome inspirational people who took the time to share their stories with me.  Stories about how to grow, and build a brand to further your career.  I would love to do my writing, acting, and production full time, but sitting at home wishing, and dreaming about it is NOT going to make it appear.  Anytime you have a dream you have to constantly pursue it.  Dreams are like a flower.  In order for it to grow you need to water it, and nurture it every day.  You cant just plant the seed and expect it to flourish.  One thing I can say is Thank God I did not give up! No matter how hard things got for me here in LA I stayed.  This is my home, and I'm not leaving until I choose to, and when I do move it will be to something BIGGER & BETTER!

The movie, "The Pursuit of Happyness" is something very near, and dear to my heart because it reminds me of a time in my life when my mother and I were homeless in NY, and we had to live out of a car, and stay in homeless shelters.  It was a very difficult time in my life but I wouldn't take it back because it strengthened me and prepared me for my future.   I hope you enjoy this video clip and find inspiration in this post!
    XOXO

    FUN TIMES IN CALI

  • So recently I have decided to start going out more so I can network and make bigger moves, and so I joined some new groups on MeetUp.Com to find out what events were going on in my area.  Well... this week there was a YouTube event and I decided to go and I had so much fun!  I even was able to get info for a second music event as well for the same week.  Recently it has been very difficult for me to focus on my goals because so many things are going on in my mind.  I miss my Mom, and my family, and most of all I miss having friends to go out with.  Even though I'm originally from LA all my best friends are on the East Coast.  I have been trying to meet some cool people out in Cali but it just hasn't been the same.  I always feel however there is a solution to every problem so I took some time to look within and ask myself what could I do to make things better, and the answer I came up with is, JUST TRY HARDER! LOL

When you move around a lot growing up its hard to form long lasting relationships because you never have any stability.  I always moved back and forth from New York to California throughout my adolescent years so my friends are all spread out and that's really frustrating, but such is life.  If you want something to change you have to put forth the effort and make it happen so here I am making it Happen!  I have several other networking events to attend this week, and I feel good about my progress.  As long as you keep moving forward you can Never Fail!

    Until Next Time....
