I was sitting here thinking about how I can make a change in my life. Ive had this blog for years but I never used it as an outlet. I feel writing out your feelings is a powerful form of art that can inspire and influence other peoples lives, and I often wonder why I don't exercise my gift everyday. I realize that needs to change! Recently I went to an event and I met some awesome inspirational people who took the time to share their stories with me. Stories about how to grow, and build a brand to further your career. I would love to do my writing, acting, and production full time, but sitting at home wishing, and dreaming about it is NOT going to make it appear. Anytime you have a dream you have to constantly pursue it. Dreams are like a flower. In order for it to grow you need to water it, and nurture it every day. You cant just plant the seed and expect it to flourish. One thing I can say is Thank God I did not give up! No matter how hard things got for me here in LA I stayed. This is my home, and I'm not leaving until I choose to, and when I do move it will be to something BIGGER & BETTER!
The movie, "The Pursuit of Happyness" is something very near, and dear to my heart because it reminds me of a time in my life when my mother and I were homeless in NY, and we had to live out of a car, and stay in homeless shelters. It was a very difficult time in my life but I wouldn't take it back because it strengthened me and prepared me for my future. I hope you enjoy this video clip and find inspiration in this post!
XOXO
